IronNet Teams Up With M.Tech to Take Collective Defence Across Asia Pacific

IronNet has named distributor M.Tech to bring its IronDefense NDR and IronDome Collective Defense platform to enterprises in ANZ, Southeast Asia, India and Taiwan.

IronNet Cybersecurity, which provides Collective Defense and network detection and response (NDR) technology, is expanding in Asia Pacific through a strategic partnership with distributor M.Tech. The companies say the deal responds to fast-growing demand in the region for advanced security products that can stand up to sophisticated threats.

IronNet presents the move as part of its commitment to the region and in line with its strategy of expanding globally. As enterprises push further with digital transformation, the company argues, they need better visibility of the threats they face if their security spending is to be effective.

What M.Tech will distribute

M.Tech is one of Asia's largest distributors of cybersecurity and network performance products. It focuses on supplying leading products and solutions for critical IT needs, including advanced threat prevention and data-centric security, to customers worldwide. Under the agreement it will offer two IronNet products to enterprises and to reseller partners in its network across Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia, India and Taiwan: IronDefense, the company's NDR product, and IronDome, which IronNet describes as the industry's first and only Collective Defense platform.

Stanley Foo, chief executive of M.Tech, said that as enterprises accelerate digital transformation and strengthen their cyber defences, there is a large opportunity to bring IronNet's technology to them. He called IronNet a clear choice of partner, well placed to help enterprises across the region secure their networks with strong defensive capabilities and to protect them against the most pressing threats.

Gaurav Chhiber, IronNet's vice president for Asia Pacific and Japan, said the company is intensely focused on helping enterprises get the most from their security investment through Collective Defense. Combining M.Tech's wide regional network with IronNet's threat intelligence and detection expertise, he said, will help more organisations find and neutralise known and unknown threats proactively, before they strike.

How Collective Defense works

IronNet's technology lets organisations in critical infrastructure and in the commercial and public sectors apply AI-based behavioural threat detection inside their own networks. IronDome adds the ability for enterprise customers to share and receive real-time threat insights anonymously with peer organisations inside a secure ecosystem. According to the company, pooling threat intelligence in this way lets organisations detect and remediate stealthy threats that were previously unknown, at scale and with fewer resources.
