Foreseeti Names BitCyber Its Consulting Partner and Distributor for Singapore and Asia
Threat modelling vendor Foreseeti has appointed BitCyber as consulting partner and regional distributor, citing CSA Singapore's guide to cyber threat modelling.
Foreseeti has appointed BitCyber as its consulting partner and regional distributor for Singapore and the wider Asia region.
BitCyber describes itself as a premium value-added distributor of cybersecurity products in Singapore and across Asia. Its stated aim is to strip the complexity out of cybersecurity so that every business can afford cyber defence and protect itself from attacks, data breaches and disruption to its operations.
The appointment comes against the background of Singapore's long record as one of the most forward-looking places for cybersecurity. Earlier in the year, the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) published a Guide to Cyber Threat Modelling, which sets out how stakeholders in Critical Information Infrastructure (CII), among others, can use threat modelling to carry out systematic and practical assessments of cybersecurity risk. The guide also stressed the need for systematic, automated tools that deliver prioritised risk insights that can be acted on at scale.
According to Foreseeti, the two companies have already worked together to supply automated threat modelling, attack simulation and security posture management to several leading organisations in the region, and the new arrangement widens and speeds up that cooperation.
Anders Malmström, Foreseeti's chief executive, said the company was very proud to count BitCyber as its partner for Singapore and Asia, adding that BitCyber shares Foreseeti's commitment to giving customers the best possible services and solutions.
Philip Ng, chief executive of BitCyber, pointed to a rising need to find every attack path through complex IT and OT/ICS environments quickly and efficiently, a need the CSA guide highlights for operators of Critical Information Infrastructure. Through the partnership, he said, BitCyber and its consulting and channel partners are helping CIIs follow the CSA guidelines to improve their threat modelling as well as their security and risk posture. BitCyber also intends to go beyond CIIs and work with companies in critical sectors such as government, financial services and healthcare.
Wong Onn Chee, chief executive of Rajah and Tann Cybersecurity, has used Foreseeti's securiCAD threat modelling tool with his own clients. He said it helped them record how data moves between their assets and map every possible adversarial attack tree through their systems, starting from a range of entry points.
