As technology continues to evolve, it is only a matter of time before quantum computers are available to break our current cryptography methods and put us at risk of data theft. Before that, we must adequately shield ourselves with stronger barricades should the ones in place fail.
Quantum safe security entails measures taken to address future quantum computing threats with safer key generation and transmission methods. The two technologies currently under development are Post-Quantum Algorithms (PQAs)/Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).
With any new developments, there are limitations to the general adoption of technologies.
